In 1990 Brian bought a house that required extensive refurbishment. Shortly after he had acquired the property it became the subject of a ‘Spot Listing’. The situation necessitated speedy research into the techniques required to undertake the project, which was largely completed on his own. A passion for the work slowly developed and he has enjoyed working on historic properties ever since.
He joined Ward & Co in 1996 and has never looked back. In 2000 he was appointed Building Site Manager and has received much satisfaction and client praise in achieving the goals of the contract, whilst preserving as much of the project’s historic fabric and integrity as possible.
Rewarding Project In Recent Times
Woolstone Church re-roofing, together with carving stone crosses. A very rewarding project, overcoming problems to complete on schedule and under budget.
Also worked as Site Manager on re roofing of St Michaels Church, Brinkworth, and St Mary the Virgin, Childrey.
